Rangers and Security Forces have restored peace in Karachi to great extent: DG ISPR 
ISLAMABAD: Pak Army Spokesperson Maj. Gen. Asim Saleem Bajwa vowed that Karachi operation will continue till the end of last terrorist and complete restoration of peace in city.

 

As per details, he was addressing media conference here at Karachi. He said that the circumstances of Karachi were not good when operation started in Karachi in 2013. Target killing, extortion and ransom were on peak but now Rangers and security forces have succeeded in restoring peace in Karachi.

 

He added that Operation Zarb-e-Azb was started by Pak Army on June 15, 2014 and the operation played an important role for the eradication of terrorism from FATA.

 

He also revealed that a big gang consisting of 97 outlaws has been detained by security forces in Karachi. The outlaws have association with Al-Qaida and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi LeJ.

 

The outlaws were wanted by security forces in several heinous crimes and involved in several terrorists activities. Asim added.
