US dollar climbs to rs111 in interbank market

KARACHI: The US dollar surged to its highest against the Pakistan Rupee in the interbank market on Tuesday, touching Rs111.

Dollar once again rose sharply against the domestic currency and surged to Rs 111 at the interbank market.

The green back taking queue from the banking rate also showed sharp rise in the open market and it was quoting between Rs 109.50 Rs 110.50.

The Dollar also rose against the domestic currency in Open Market.

The currency dealers said that the auction of Sukuk, Euro Bonds worth $2.5bn helped support the rupee but in the current situation, this money was failing to support domestic currency.
