Pakistan sets deadline for return of refugees from Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD- The government of Pakistan has set a deadline for the return of thousands of Pakistani refugees who are currently residing in Afghanistan, it has been reported.

According to the local media reports, citing the relevant officials, at least 15,00 Pakistani families from North Waziristan are currently based in Afghanistan.

The Fata Disaster Management Authority Mian Adil Zahoor has said that the government would facilitate return of the tribal people from Afghanistan by the end of April. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting.

Zahoor further added that after expiry of the deadline the tribal people could return to their homes, but would not be entitled to any assistance from the government.
