Kamran Akmal hits back at Coach Mickey Arthur over remarks against him

LAHORE - *Pakistan’s wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has responded back to the remarks made by the National Cricket team Coach Mickey Arthur. *

*Speaking about Pakistan team’s head coach Mickey Arthur’s recent comments over Akmal’s place in Pakistan squad, the wicket keeper batsman was of the view that he’s still performing on the domestic circuit and will continue to do so.*

*“It may be true [that I have no place] in his [Arthur] view but I am still playing and putting in good performances. One’s cricket does not come to an end based on someone else’s say, so I hope to perform well in the upcoming Pakistan Cup,” said Akmal.*

*However, Akmal didn’t shy away from criticizing Arthur over speaking about his fielding in the media, as he called on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to look into this matter. “To say something like that before the media is not good and PCB should check this,” he said.*

*Previously, Arthur had said that Akmal will not be selected into the national squad unless his fielding improves.*

*He said he is in no mood to give up his hopes on returning to international cricket, as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) top performer believes that he still has a lot left in tank.*

“While some people talk about the end of my cricket career, I say that I have 3 to 4 years of cricket left in me,” he said while talking to local media.
