ECP imposes ban on recruitment of public servants

ISLAMABAD:The Election Commission of Pakistan has imposed a ban on recruitment of public servants in Federal, Provincial and Local Government institutions ahead of general elections.
According to the Election Commission, appointments that fall under the Federal Public Service Commission and Provincial Public Service Commission will be exempted from this ban.
The Commission said that under another order, no development scheme will be allowed to implement including installation of gas pipelines, carpeting of roads, water supply etc. while the funds of on-going development schemes could not be utilized for any other purpose.
It further said that all Ministries and departments concerned have been informed. APP/AFP
