Afghan nationals arrested among 12 in Rangers operation

WAH CANNT: As many as 12 persons including seven Afghan nationals were nabbed and illegal weapons and narcotics were recovered in the ongoing operation Radd ul Fasaad in Manzoorabad area in the limits of Taxila Police station said DSP Wah Cantt Sajid Gondal here Wednesday.
During the search operation, two sub machineguns, two 44 bore guns, one 12 bore double barrel gun, two 12 bore single barrel guns, one 9 MM pistol and a 30 bore pistol with 53 bullets of different kinds were recovered.
Twelve persons, including seven Afghans without valid documents, were also arrested. The arrested Afghans were identified as Qudrat Ullah, Nawab Khan, Ghazi Khan, Asad Khan, Ameer Khan, Wali Khan, Sher Ahmed.
The locals possessing illegal weapons recovered were identified as Banaras Khan, Nasir Mehmood, Jameel Rafaqat, Malik Azhar and Malik Liaquat. The accused were handed over to Taxila Police. (APP)
