Pakistan thrashes Bangladesh in Asia Hockey Cup opener

DHAKA  – Pakistan defeated Bangladesh in the opening match of the Asia Hockey Cup on Wednesday, thanks to Abubakar Mahmood’s three goals.

Green Shirts established dominance in the beginning of the match. In addition to Abubakar’s excellent performance, Ammad Butt and Arslan Qadir pushed two goals each.

In the inaugural match, India beat Japan 5-1.

Pakistan will face Japan in the second match on October 13 and archrivals India on October 15.
