In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown observed against killings of youth by Indian forces
ISLAMABAD - In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown is being observed on second day, on Sunday, in Tral area of Pulwama district against the killing of a youth by Indian troops.
All shops and business establishments are closed while public transport is off the road.
The youth, Anwar, was martyred by the troops in Darganaie Gund village of Tral on Friday.
Meanwhile, Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir , Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai condemned the ongoing arrest spree across the Valley.
In a statement issued in Srinagar, today, he said arrests and unleashing fear among masses would only further deteriorate the situation.
He said New Delhi must understand the reality that Kashmir dispute will not be written off from the pages of history by using brute force to suppress the voice of people.
