US lodges complaint against India on price support for grains

WASHINGTON: The United States has lodged a complaint against India over under-reporting its price support for grains.
In a joint statement, the US Trade Representative and Agriculture Department said it appears that India has substantially under-reported its market price support for wheat and rice.
The statement said the under-reporting and excess price support violate the rules of World Trade Organization. APP/AFP
