Pakistan to impose restrictions on US diplomats: sources

*ISLAMABAD: *Pakistan would impose counter restrictions on US diplomats if US placed restrictions on Pakistani diplomats in America.

Pakistan will restrict the movement of United States diplomats if American government limited travels of Pakistani officials.

Foreign Officer spokesperson Dr Faisal has said that dialogue between the Pakistan and US governments have continued for improvement in relations. He said this while addressing weekly briefing to journalists in Islamabad.

He said Pakistan is disappointed with the recent move by the United States blocking the country from placing Terror group Jammat-Ul-Ahrar (JUA) chief Khalid Khorasani on the terrorist list. He said UN committee has officially declared JUA a terror outfit, but its chief Khorasani not placed on the list so far.

The FO spokesperson said US move shows double standards of international commuting in fighting the war on terror. He also added that only one country has opposed Pakistan move in this regard, while the committee has not informed Pakistan regarding not placing terrorist on the list.

Referring to the situations in Indian-occupied Kashmir, the FO said India has blocked mobile, internet and social networking services in the held valley in order to stop its heinous face being faced. He added that Indian will succeed in misleading the international community through its malicious propaganda by terming the Kashmir struggle for realization and self –determination as “terrorism”.

Dr Faisal also called upon the world community to play its rightful role in promoting lasting solutions of the dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
