Panama Case JIT starts probe on money laundering

ISLAMABAD  – The JIT has written letters to different departments, seeking details of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s tax returns , tax and accounts.

The JIT has also demanded the record of Hudaybia Paper Mills.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s statement about money laundering will be part of the investigation.

This was decided during the fourth meeting of the JIT led by Wajid Zia.

Sources said that the JIT has written a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan and sought the details of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s tax returns from 1985.

The record of Captain Safdar’s tax returns has also been demanded.

In a letter to the State Bank of Pakistan, it has been questioned how the money was taken abroad. For this reason, the services of a foreign firm will be sought.
