Modi's extremism: 200 Muslim homes in India razed, set on fire by Hindu extremists

NEW DELHI - Hindu extremism against Muslims is on rise these days after Pulwama attack, which killed more than 40 Indian troops, as in a fresh act of brutality in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, more than 200 homes of Muslims in a slum area were razed on the name of so called anti-encroachment drive.

The security officials alleged the unknown miscreants for heinous act, saying: “Some of the shanties were set on fire by some miscreants when they were trying to evict the encroachers.”

However, a video, which is being widely circulated, shows a Muslim man, accusing the police for the shanties being set on fire. Speaking about the incident a social activist has said, “This is nothing new.

Since we are working as social activists in Uttar Pradesh, we have been witnessing such cases to be on the rise. This case is being highlighted because of Meerut’s vicinity to the national capital.”
