Hurriyat leaders condemn summoning of Mirwaiz, Gilani’s son by NIA

In Occupied Kashmir, Joint Hurriyat Leadership has condemned the summoning of Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Gilani’s son, Syed Naseem Gilani, by the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) and has termed it as sheer political vendetta.

Hurriyat Leadership in a statement in Srinagar, said NIA raids on residences of Hurriyat leaders and their relatives to pressurize them to stop pursuing the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

The resistance leadership strongly denounced the arrest spree, ban on Jamaat-e-Islami, slapping of draconian Public Safety Act on Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and many others in the territory.

Meanwhile, Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Pulwama and Shopian districts, today.

According to reports all the entry and exit points were sealed and door-to-door searches are being conducted.
