Export Processing Zones to be established in Sindh

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Over thirty schemes are being carried out in the different areas of Sindh to increase per acre crop production and boost agriculture sector in the province.

These schemes will be completed at a cost of Rs five billion, Radio Pakistan reported.

Under the plan, solar pumps are being provided to farmers on fifty percent subsidy, whereas training and research facilities are also being modernized.

The plan also include establishment of Export Processing Zones in Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Naushero Feroz, Khairpur and Ghotki to facilitate the farmers and growers.
