Turkey to receive S400 missile defence system from Russia despite US threats

ANKARA - Turkey will receive first delivery of the Russian S-400 missile system towards the end of next year.

This was stated by Turkey’s foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, while talking to reporters in Brussels today, where he is attending a NATO meeting.

S-400 is Russia 's most advanced long-range anti-aircraft missile system, with the ability to carry three types of missiles capable of destroying targets, including ballistic and cruise missiles.
