Imran Khan urges independent candidates to withdraw in PTI’s favor

ISLAMABAD: PTI chairman Imran Khan urged independent candidates in Buner to withdraw their candidacies in his party’s favor.

“You will only divide PTI’s vote and ultimately it will benefit our opponents,” he said while addressing an election rally in Buner.

Imran has accused his former allies, Jamaat-e-Islami, of forming an alliance with the PML-N.

“It is beyond my understanding. Why would JI form an alliance with the PML-N?” he asked. “What is more surprising is the fact that Nawaz Sharif has accepted JI’s support.”

“Why is Nawaz Sharif asking his workers to welcome him on Friday at Lahore airport? Has he won a world cup or conquered Kashmir? I would say he has won the World Cup of corruption.”

Imran also targeted JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and ANP chief Asfandyar Wali.

“Every government leaves behind two things. Empty exchequer and Fazl-ur-Rehman. But now the days of his government are going to be over,” the PTI chief said.

“Answer this Mr Asfandyar Wali, why did people call your government ‘easy-load’?”

Urging his supporters to vote his party into power, Imran said, “On July 25, there will be a decisive war for your future. You have to vote for our candidate, for the ideology and for the sake of your future.”

Earlier, addressing a rally in Basham area of Shangla district, Imran said the Sharif family stole over Rs300 billion from the nation. This is the time for each and every Pakistani to stand against this corrupt family, he said.

“The Sharif family’s time is up. It’s time for them to be jailed,” said Imran.
