Participation of all parties to Afghan peace process inevitable: Sherpao

PESHAWAR: Veteran politician Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said that participation of all the stakeholders in the Afghan peace process was a must for ensuring peace.
He was talking to a high level delegation of Afghan government led by Muhammad Umer Daudzai Special Assistant to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani here on Thursday.
He urged that the government should play its due role for the purpose.
Sherpao said the government and the political parties were on same page on Afghan issue.
He terrorism as a potent threat for the region therefore he underscored the need for collective efforts for resolution of Afghan dispute.
He welcomed the ongoing Afghan peace overtures, adding, its appropriate time to take the lingering matter to the logical conclusion.
He stressed on resolution of the issue through table talks.
Peace in region was also linked with stability in Afghanistan, he concluded.
