India finally accepts Pakistan’s demand on consistent pressure

ISLAMABAD - Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda announced on Friday that India has finally accepted Pakistan’s request to inspect Indian projects in Chenab basin.
The minister took to his Twitter handle and announced, “Due to our continued efforts there’s a major breakthrough that India has finally agreed to our request for inspection of Indian projects in Chenab basin.”

Vawda continued that he has also directed his team to carry out the inspection from January 27 till February 1. He added that the delegation would be lead by the commissioner for Indus Waters. He said that this gesture by India was welcomed and he hoped that the same spirit would be shown regarding other major issues.

As a Federal Minister I’ve directed my team to visit and carry out inspection of projects from 27th Jan-1 Feb. It’s indeed a feather in Ministry for water resources’ cap. Last year, Pakistan had written a letter to India to fulfill its promise to allow Pakistani experts to inspect its project in Chenab basin.
