Federal government responds over media reports of Visa Facility to Israeli citizens on arrival

ISLAMABAD: A government spokesperson has responded over the media reports of provision of visas to Israeli viruses on arrival.

Government has denied a misleading news item carried by a section of press regarding the provision of visa facility to Israeli citizens on arrival at Pakistani airports.

The spokesperson has categorically stated that Pakistan does not have diplomatic relations with Israel and consequently, the provision of visa does not arise.

The spokesperson expressed the hope that the media should take the version of the government before publishing/telecasting such sensitive news.

In October 2018, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government rejected speculations that it was holding any secret talks with Israel and India after rumours emerged regarding landing of an Israeli plane some days ago.

An Israeli journalist earlier this week sparked a storm of speculation on the social media when he tweeted that an aircraft flew from Tel Aviv to Islamabad.
