Pakistan's National Cyber Security policy in offing

ISLAMABAD - National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua chaired a meeting, in Islamabad on Thursday, to develop a framework and evolve a mechanism to ensure National Cyber Security of Pakistan.

Besides Secretary National Security Division, representatives from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Information and Technology, PEMRA, PTA and FIA attended the meeting.

Ministry of Information and Technology was entrusted with the responsibility to propose a suitable structured organization that could ensure the Cyber Security of the Country.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting was asked to propose a mechanism that could chalk out the way forward towards use of social media for a progressive Pakistan.

Next meeting will be scheduled soon and process of evolving a mechanism ensuring Cyber Security will be concluded.

Meanwhile, UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi called on Nasser Khan Janjua.

The two agreed to work together to take the bilateral relations to further heights.

The Ambassador reaffirmed UAEs commitment to extend all possible support and assistance to Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.

Both sides agreed to enhance engagements to promote bilateral relations.
