Mehbooba Mufti to become new Chief Minister of Indian Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Mehbooba Mufti, the daughter of the deceased Chief Minister of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) Mufti Saeed is all set to become the first woman Chief Minister of IOK after the death of her father who passed away on Thursday after being hospitalised for couple of days in a local hospital.

Mehbooba Mufti, 56 will be the 13th Chief Minister of IOK once she takes oath of the prestigious post in Srinagar, capital of Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Members of Legislative Assembly MLAs of Jammu and Kashmir have elected Mehbooba Mufti unanimously as their Chief Minister to replace her deceased father.

A delegation of the MLAs of IOK met with the Governor at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar and presented him the letter of PDP legislators demanding Governor to appoint Mehbooba Mufti as the Chief Minister of IOK.

Mehbooba Mufti is currently the Lok Sabha member from the Anantnag constituency of Indian occupied Kashmir.
