Supreme Court takes suo moto notice of police encounters in Punjab

LAHORE: Mian Saqib Nisar, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice took a suo-motu notice of extrajudicial killing in police encounters in Punjab and ordered the police chief to submit a report on the total encounters conducted in the province.
CJP took notice on Sunday and ordered to submit the report in one week of the extra judicial killing in police encounters in Punjab province.
Earlier the former Police officer Inspector Abid Boxer had made startling revelations about the police encounters in the Punjab province and had alleged that CM Shahbaz Sharif was behind the infamous police encounters in Punjab.
