ISLAMABAD:Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has directed the special anti-terrorism court hearing Zainab murder case to give its verdict within seven days. The hearing was held at the Supreme Court 's Lahore Registry today(Saturday). Inspector General Punjab Police Arif Nawaz Khan apprised the three-member bench that challan of the accused Imran Ali has been submitted in the anti-terrorism court.
The Chief Justice said if anyone has a complaint regarding Zainab murder case , he can submit his application in the court.
Later, while hearing provision of clean water case, the bench expressed displeasure for not providing clean water in Lahore.
The court asked Punjab Chief Secretary to inform the bench that when Punjab Chief Minister will appear before the court in Lahore.
In another case, while hearing a case regarding poor condition of government-run hospitals, the Chief Justice directed medical superintendents of the government hospitals to submit a detailed reports on missing facilities at their respective hospitals till 24th of this month. He also directed the authorities concerned to improve medical facilities being provided at the Children's hospitals in the Province.
Meanwhile, hearing a suo motu case regarding blocking of roads at various points in Lahore, the Chief Justice directed Inspector General Punjab Police to submit a detailed report about barriers put in place on various roads in the city.APP/AFP
