Russia has urged Israel to avoid any steps that would lead to a new confrontation in the region.
The caution came during a telephonic conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the situation in Syria.
According to Kremlin, both leaders discussed the situation around the actions of the Israeli air force, which carried our missile strikes on targets in Syria. APP/AFP
