ISIS network busted in Pakistan: DG IB

ISLAMABAD: DG IB Aftab Sultan said that ISIS and other banned outfits are using social media for spreading their ideology while IB has busted ISIS network in Pakistan.
As per details, Senate Apex Committee for Interior meeting was held under the chairmanship of Senator Rehman Malik here at parliament house, Islamabad. The meeting was briefed by DG IB Aftaf Sultan over the presence of ISIS in Pakistan.
Aftab Sultan said that Sipah Sahaba, TTP and Lashkar-e-jhangvi LeJ have contacts with each other and TTP’s terrorists are locals and not foreigners. Operation Zarb-e-Azb has broken backbone of TTP while terrorists form Omer Khalifa group have been arrested by security forces on the tip-off IB.
Nine terrorists were involved in Wagah border attack and 6 terrorists were arrested by security forces while 3 managed to escape from the scene.
