34 Nations Military Alliance first meeting to be held in Saudi Arabia next month
RIYADH: First session of the 34 Nation Military Alliance will be held in Saudi Arabia next month.

Saudi Arabia will host the meeting in Riyadh.

The announcement to form joint military alliance was made in December last year by Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia will lead the military alliance against terrorism and joint command center will be based in Riyadh.

Arab countries Egypt, Qatar, UAE and non Arab Islamic countries Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan along with Gulf Arab and African states are included in the military alliance.

Saudi Arabia’s arch-rival Iran is not included in the 34 nations military alliance.

Pakistan Foreign office has welcomed the formation of 34 Nation Military alliance to fight against terrorism.

Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhery however earlier informed in a press briefing that Pakistan was not consulted before inclusion in the alliance and government asked Pak ambassador in Riyadh to get clarification on the matter from Saudi Arabia.

He also claimed that Pakistan will only deploy troops for UN peacekeeping missions outside the country’s borders.

Pakistan has also twice rejected US call to join alliance against ISIS on same foreign policy  grounds.
