US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Bilnken calls on COAS General Raheel Sharif in GHQ

ISLAMABAD: US Deputy Secretary of State Antony J Blinken met with Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at GHQ in Rawalpindi. Both dignitaries exchanged views over the security challenges. As per ISPR statement, both dignitaries emphasized on the re commencement of reconciliation process for long term peace in Afghanistan. Army Chief said that peace in Afghanistan is very important for the stability of region. US Deputy Secretary of State lauded the efforts of Pakistani forces for establishing peace and stability in region and admired their sacrifices. US envoy David Hale and US Special representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Olson were also present in the meeting.
