Chinese FM calls on COAS General Raheel Sharif in GHQ

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarter GHQ in Rawalpindi. Matters related to regional security came under discussion. As per ISPR statement, both dignitaries agreed to enhance defense and security cooperation. Chinese FM lauded the success of operation Zarb-e- Azab and paid rich tribute to martyrs of Pak Army. While underlining the importance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC, the Chinese FM said this project is very important for whole region and it will have long term and significant impacts on the region. Both counties people will be equally beneficiary of this project. Army Chief vowed that Pakistan will provide a secure environment for the timely completion of the project.
