Anti Terrorist squad arrest suspected ISIS militant from Jaipur, India

NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old man allegedly working for banned organization ISIS was arrested by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the state from Jawahar Nagar locality on Wednesday. He was working as a marketing manager for Indian Oil Corporation in the city and was allegedly urging Muslim youths through social networking sites to join ISIS. Officials of ATS were getting concrete information on the activities of the man identified as Mohammed Sirazudin for the last three months. "We were also following the Facebook page and other social networking apps for the past three months. Based on various scientific evidences we have first apprehended the youth and finally arrested him under appropriate sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act." "The accused got active nearly five months ago when he started urging the youth to work for ISIS, an organization banned in the country, through social networking sites like Facebook, WhatsApp groups and by another social networking app - Telegram," said Alok Tripathi, additional director general (ADG), ATS.
