Chinese engineers convoy comes under apparent suicide attack in Balochistan

QUETTA - The Chinese engineers working in Balochistan have come under terrorist attack in Balochistan yet again.
Two Chinese engineer were injured on Saturday in an alleged suicide attack on a convoy of Saindak Copper-Gold project employees in Chaghai district.
A pickup vehicle driving ahead of the convoy exploded and damaged the bus carrying employees of the company. Among the injured are two security personnel and two Pakistani employees of Saindak Copper-Gold.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and security forces cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation into the attack. Deputy Commissioner Chaghai Saifullah Khatran reached on site to oversee the investigation.
As the nation went to the polls on July 25, terror reared its ugly head once again in restive Balochistan, where at least 31 people including two children were martyred and 37 sustained injuries in a suicide attack outside a polling station in Quetta.
In a separate incident, at least four people including three troops and a polling official were also martyred as a convoy of polling staff was ambushed in the wee hours in the Buleda area of Turbat near the Pakistan-Iran border.
According to police, the suicide attack took place outside a polling station set up at Tameer-e-Nou Public School near Quetta’s eastern bypass.
