China unveils official policy over Iran after US sanctions

BEIJING - China says business ties with Iran do not harm the interests of any other country.

Chinese Foreign Ministry stated this after US President Donald Trump said companies doing business with Iran would be barred from the United States.

In a statement, the Chinese Ministry reiterated its opposition to unilateral sanctions.

It said that commerical cooperation between China and Iran does not violate UN Security Council resolutions and should be respected and protected.
