China warns US over South China Sea provocations

China has warned the United States to respect its sovereignty and security interests in South China Sea.
In a statement in Beijing, Spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry, Gen Shuang called upon the US administration to refrain from any further action detrimental to the China-US mutual trust and regional stability.
The spokesperson said China has indisputable sovereignty over Nansha Qundao and its adjacent waters and the recent acts of the US warships violated international law.
