Missing persons case: Islamabad High Court Proceedings

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday sought a report from the Interior Ministry while summoning the Station House Officer (SHO) to appear in the person in the alleged missing person case.

The single bench of Justice Athar Minallah resumed the hearing the petition of Mahera Sajid for the recovery of her missing husband person Sajid Mehmood.

During the course of proceedings, Deputy Attorney General Malik Faisal Rafique submitted a report on behalf of the Interior Ministry stating that investigation was underway into the case.

The Superintendent of Police Saddar was deputed to carry out the probe.

The court rejected the report, observing that no progress was made in the case and sought a detailed report from the ministry till next date of hearing.
