Avienfield Reference: Key witness Wajid Zia's cross examination concludes

ISLAMABAD - The Sharif family’s counsel completed on Wednesday cross-examination of Wajid Zia, who is a key witness in the Avenfield reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the Sharifs.
Judge Muhammad Bashir of the accountability court resumed the hearing today, local media reported. Sharif’s counsel Khawaja Haris had been questioning Zia, who headed the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the offshore companies of the family.
Haris completed his questioning today, after which former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz’s counsel Amjad Pervez will begin his cross-examination.
