KABUL: Suicide blast in Jalalabad Afghanistan killed at least 12 army recruits and wounded 38.
Chief of Nangarhar provincial council claimed that the attacker was on a bike and detonated himself near the bus carrying army recruits.
Taliban claimed the responsibility of the attack on their Twitter account.
Taliban and insurgent groups have boosted their campaign against Afghan government and security forces after the withdrawal of NATO forces in 2014.
Afghan government is also trying to resolve the conflict with peace talks but Taliban refused to do so.
Taliban claimed that they will not negotiate until their conditions are not fulfilled.
Taliban wants the complete withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan and removal of their names from black list including the freedom of Taliban detainees.
US Secretary of State John Kerry urged Pakistan to force Taliban to come to the negotiation table so that peace could be restored in the region.
