Donald Trump gives new threats to China

WASHINGTON - The United States has repeated its threat to slap tariffs on an additional 267 billion dollars of Chinese imports if Beijing retaliates for the recent levies and measures imposed by United States.

Taking to newsmen in Washington, President Donald Trump said China is not ready to reach a deal on trade.

Meanwhile, speaking at a news briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said a trade war is bad for the global economy and not in the interests of either country.
