ANF seizes 37.155 kg drugs, 24 arrested in countrywide operations

ISLAMABAD: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), in continuation to its execution of zero-tolerance against drugs, has conducted 19 countrywide operations and seized 37.155 kgs narcotics valuing Rs144.29 million internationally.
The Force, during these operations also arrested 24 persons including a foreigner and three ladies involved in drug
smuggling while seven vehicles were impounded.
The seized drugs comprised 24.3 Kg Hashish, 5.8 Kg Heroin, 5.875 Kg Amphetamine, 1.18 Kg Methamphetamine and 240 liters Hydrochloric Acid (suspected).
As per details here on Tuesday, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a Nigerian Sinmiyou Ayinde Shaeed from Naseerabad Bus Stop,opposite Kohinoor Mills, Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi and recovered 1.3 Kg Heroin from his personal possession.
In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Honda CG-125 Motorcycle from Tarnol Railway Crossing, Islamabad and recovered 1 Kg Hashish from rider Muhammad Iftikhar, resident of Mansehra.
In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Said Rehman, resident of Mardan from Islamabad International Airport and
recovered 2.005 Kg Amphetamine concealed in his travelling bag.
The arrested accused intended to fly for Madina (KSA) by Etehad Airlines Flight No. EK-615.
In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted two Suzuki Mehran cars from Kamra Bus Stop, GT Road, Attock and
recovered 2.5 Kg Hashish & 200 Gram Amphetamine from personal possession of the accused Khan Wali, resident of Attock, Haseeb Ullah, resident of Peshawar and Abid Ameen, resident of Nowshera arrested from vehicles.
In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Abdul Qadir,resident of Kurram Agency from Islamabad International Airport and recovered 900 Gram Amphetamine from his trolley bag. The arrested accused intended to fly for Dammam (KSA) by Flight No.
WY-348. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Irfan Gul with his wife Gul Seet and infant child Habiba, resident of Swabi from Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.97 Kg Amphetamine concealed in milk box kept in their travelling bag. The arrested family intended to fly for Jeddah (KSA) by flight No. PA-270.
In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi on information arrested Mohsin Zada, Shah Izat, Paras Bibi and Amina Bibi all
resident of Upper Dir from Islamabad International Airport on suspicion of ingested Heroin filled capsules.
The arrested accused were shifted to Benazir Shaheed Hospital where they delivered a total of 202 Heroin filled
capsules weighing 1.36 Kg Heroin.
In eighth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Motorcycle from Chungi No. 3 Sanjwal Road, Attock and recovered 600 Gram Hashish from personal possession of rider Mehran Khan resident of Attock.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda Civic Car from Motorway-M4, Gojra Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and recovered 9.6 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the vehicle. A person onboard namely Imtiaz Khan, resident of Mohmand Agency was also arrested from vehicle during the operation.
In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a parcel from a courier service company office based at Lahore and
recovered 710 Gram Heroin concealed in 228 Cutlery Items. The parcel was being sent to USA.
In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested Fahad Shakoor, resident of Narowal from Daewoo Bus Terminal, Thokar Niaz
Baig, Lahore and recovered 2 Kg Hashish from his personal possession.
In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Muhammad Ayaz Khan, resident of Swabi from Multan International Airport and recovered 800 Gram Amphetamine concealed in his luggage.
The arrested accused intended to fly for Riyadh (KSA) via Dubai by flight No. FZ-340.
In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda CD-70 Motorcycle from Shahba Phatak, Adalat Garha Road, APX Courier Service, Sialkot and arrested two brothers Muhammad Shahbaz and Muhammad Sarwar riding the bike. The detailed search of arrested accused resulted in recovery of 1.04 Kg Heroin.
ANF Peshawar arrested Faheem Ali, resident of Malakand Agency from Peshawar International Airport and recovered 610 Gram Heroin which was concealed in his trolley bag. The arrested accused intended to fly for Doha by Qatar Airlines Flight No.
QR-601. In another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Faheem Ur Rehman, resident of Swabi from FC Check Post No. 20, Sector No. 5, Hayatabad, Peshawar and recovered 600 Gram Hashish from his personal possession.
In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Iftikhar, resident of Mardan from Peshawar International Airport and
recovered 620 Gram Methamphetamine which was concealed beneath sweets in a plastic box. The arrested accused intended to fly for Bahrain by Gulf Airlines Flight No. GF-785.
In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Abdul Hakeem, resident of Kurram Agency from Peshawar International Airport and recovered 780 Gram Heroin concealed in Telkom Powder and Vaseline bottle. The arrested accused intended to fly for Doha (Qatar) by Qatar Airlines Flight No. QR-601.
In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Hanif Ullah, resident of Khyber Agency from Peshawar International Airport
and recovered 560 Gram Methamphetamine from his shoes and rod of trolley bag. The arrested accused intended to fly for Sharjah by flight No. G9-557.
ANF Quetta intercepted a Motorcycle and recovered eight Kg Hashish from the bike. The bike was intercepted at
General Area, Sor Gill, Tehsil Dalbandin, District Chagai.
In another operation, ANF Quetta recovered 240 Liters suspected Hydrochloric Acid from deserted area of Yakmach,
Tehsil Dalbandin, District Chagai.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
