Pakistan - China universities to conduct joint research on CPEC

GILGIT: The Karakoram International University (KIU), Gilgit Baltistan and Lanzo University of China agreed on Tuesday to make a joint research on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
It was agreed during a meeting between a 10-member delegation of Lanzo University including three researchers of Ganso Fisheries Research Institute China and KIU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalil Ahmed besides others senior faculty members here.
IT was further agreed to formulate a strategy for joint research works for promotion of agriculture, fisheries, wildlife and linguistic/languages and in near future research in these subjects would be started.
Professor Lang Rojan who led the Chinese delegation briefed on the overall objectives of the visit and education and research works of his university.
The KIU VC also highlighted achievements of the university in the field of education, promotion of Chinese language and others.
The Director for Centre of CPEC KIU and Assistant Professor Siranjam Baig also briefed the Chinese delegation about centre activities.
The delegation also visited KIU Chinese language centre and met with students learning Chinese language besides visited different sections of the university and lauded the education activities here.
