ISLAMABAD : In a blow to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf the Supreme Court of Pakistan has rejected the appeal of the PTI Candidate Usman Dar against Defence Minister Khawaja Asif .

Supreme Court on Thursday has dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) plea challenging Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) victory in NA-110 constituency in Sialkot.

According to details, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali conducted the proceedings of the case in which, he remarked that it’s a duty of Election Commission to secure electoral record.

Khawaja Asif’s counsel Farooq H. Naek said that Election Tribunal has failed to provide any evidence to prove rigging in the constituency. He claimed that some elements were continuously pressurizing the courts to affect the decision.

NA-110 Supreme Court Decision makes government jubilant

PTI’s lawyer Babar Awan said that not election, but something else was happened in NA-110. However the honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected the allegations of the PTI candidate.
