PM Imran Khan makes a pledge to the Nation

KARACHI - While renewing his pledge to curb menace of corruption, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan vowed not to betray nation by awarding NRO to opposition.

The premier made these remarks after holding meeting with representatives of business community here in Karachi, Pakistan’s economic capital.

“Both these parties [Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party] received NRO from Musharraf. From the very first days, leaders of these parties are rehashing mantra of toppling the federal government”, added premier.

“They are intimidated. We’ve not lodged a single case against them as yet. They [read opposition] have assembled to preserve looted wealth”, PM was quoted as saying.

“If we won’t set precedent of punishing the corrupt elements, the menace of corruption will increase in the future”, asserted Khan.

“We’re leaving no stone unturned to address faults in the system. There are several people in the business community who evade tax”, PM told attendants.

Earlier today, PM Imran Khan turned down request of the business community to withdraw condition of CNIC of buyers for every transaction of Rs50000 or above. As per details garnered, PM held meeting with business committee here at Governor House Karachi.
