SC reverses IHC decision in Grand Hayat case

Supreme Court has reversed Islamabad High Court's order about Grand Hayat lease case, directing the builder to pay 17.5 billion rupees to CDA in eight years on equal annual installments.
A three member bench headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar heard the case in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Court ordered the company to submit bank guarantee of every installment.
The Court declared null and void the decision of Islamabad High Court of July 2016 in which it had upheld the cancelation of a plot by the CDA meant for Grand Hayat Hotel over violations of building laws.
