PM directs to expedite process to acquire possession of verified state properties

Prime Minster Imran Khan has directed to expedite legal process to acquire the possession of verified state properties in the country.
He was a chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review the progress of the committee constituted to identify public properties.
Prime Minister said the value of the properties identified so far should also be estimated.
Imran Khan directed to take legal action against the institutions and officials who are not cooperating in this regard.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed about progress on identification of state properties and their usage in future.
The committee was told that 1412 state properties have been identified that spread over a cumulative area of 44,350 Kanals.
The committee reviewed various options regarding usage of these properties. The meeting was informed that the properties traced out in big cities, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Multan, can be used to generate national income.
The meeting decided that the people occupying state properties in Kachi Abadis will be provided alternate places.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Information Minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain and Law Minister Dr. Farogh Naseem among others.
