KASUR: As the abduction and rape cases of minor girls are on the rise in Kasur, another minor 7-year-old girl was raped and then murdered in the city on Tuesday.

As per details, seven-year-old Zainab Ameen, resident of Kasur’s Shahbaz Khan Road was kidnapped a few days ago when she had gone to her tuition centre. Locals believe that Zainab had either been sold or murdered after rape

The body of the kidnapped girl was recovered from a garbage pile near few hundred meters from her house.

According to the postmortem report, the minor girl was strangled to death after being raped multiple times.

The heirs of the minor girl and area residents took to the streets and staged a protest over the incident. The agitating protesters blocked the main Ferozpur road and closed the markets.

The parents of the minor had gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, and the girl was living with her aunts.

On the other hand, a shutter down strike is being observed in Kasur today against the brutal killing of Zainab.

Lawyers have also boycotted judicial proceedings at district bar in protest and demanded early action into the matter.
