Islamabad: Accountability court on Tuesday has summoned ex-prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani on January 13 in illegal advertisement contracts case, GNN reported.

According to details, accountability court judge Azam Khan heard the illegal advertisement contracts case against Yousaf Raza Gillani.

During the proceedings, the court has decidede to indict all the accused including Yousaf Raza Gillani while the court judge Azam Khan has directed the former premier to appear in next hearing at any cost.

ncluding the PPP leader, to ensure their presence on the next hearing in a case pertaining to the alleged illegal award of government advertisement contracts.

It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Yousaf Raza Gillani, former secretary of Information Technology Farooq Awan, ex-press information officer (PIO) Muhammad Saleem, former Universal Service Fund secretary Syed Hasan Sheikh and other individuals are nominated in the corruption reference.

The anti-corruption watchdog officials stated that these accused had misused their positions to illegally grant an advertising contract, inflicting a loss of Rs129.07 million to the national exchequer.
