Women Parliamentary Caucus sent letter to UNGA President over Occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD - Women Parliamentary Caucus has sent a letter to President of UN General Assembly, Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, apprising her of the arising situation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The letter, written by MNA and Secretary of the Caucus Munazza Hassan, said India is currently an occupying force in the state, therefore, seeks to unlawfully annex the territory as its own.

It said the removal of Jammu and Kashmir's special status would allow Indians to settle and buy property in the occupied territory.

Kashmir is currently India's only Muslim-majority state and these illegitimate actions can change its demographic structure which is a cause for deep concern.
