Pakistan invites Britain attention towards UN report on IOK

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has urged Britain to take notice of the recent UN report on blatant human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Talking to Senior Advisor to the UK Cabinet Office, Michael Wade in London, member of Senate Standing Committee on Kashmir, Senator Abdul Qayyum said Britain should not ignore the report of UN's Office of High Commissioner on this issue.

Senator Qayyum said Britain should put pressure on India to stop committing atrocities in the held valley.

He stressed the need for creating conditions for a free plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir as demanded in the UN resolutions.

Michael Wade assured to convey Pakistan’s concern on the issue to British leadership.
