USA is responsible for chaos in Middle East: Iranian Defence Minister

MOSCOW: Iran’s Defence Minister Hossein Dehgan claimed that USA is responsible for chaos and unrest in Middle East.

He claimed that if US really wants stability in the region then it should quit and stop its interference in the region.

Dehgan said “Americans have made countries in the region dependent on them through sale of weapons and suggesting that implementing US policies are a must for their survival.”

He also rejected US Secretary of State John Kerry’s remarks about Iran.

He said “If John Kerry thought about these subjects, he would no longer utter nonsense and foolish words.”

Iranian Defence Minister’s statement came after the remarks of US official who blamed Iran for unrest in Middle East by providing assistance to Houthi rebels.

“We call on Iran to constructively join in the efforts to make peace and to help us to resolve Syria and, rather than to continue to send weapons to Houthis, join in the effort… to make peace and work toward a cessation of hostilities,” Kerry said.

Kerry also hold meeting with his Gulf Arab allies and urged them to support US in opposing Iran’s missile programme.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard deputy chief General Salami said “The US is not qualified to make comments about our defence power. Our missile capabilities will never be negotiated or compromised.”
