Top US officials hold talks with Pakistan Foreign Minister in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD - Top level US officials have arrived in Islamabad for holding talks with the Pakistani officials over Afghanistan peace process.

As per the media report, Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, the representative of the US Secretary of State on Afghan reconciliation, called on Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During a meeting with the foreign delegation, FM Qureshi stated that Pakistan has always welcomed the United States (US) efforts for establishing peace in Afghanistan.

He further added that Pakistan will continue to play its part to find a political solution to bring peace in Afghanistan. Both have agreed on future cooperation.

The US delegation arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday.
