PM Shahid Khaqan clears the air over IB letter

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the IB report is fake and unfounded.
Speaking on the point of order in the National Assembly on Monday, he said that the government has neither sought the report from the IB nor did the IB prepare it.
He said that the letter was issued to defame the people. “We have written a letter to the PEMRA to take action as per law. Fake documents were prepared on behalf of the government.”
The prime minister said that he has also directed the IB to register the FIR, while investigations are underway.
