Five killed, one hurt in firing

QUETTA: Unidentified gunmen shot dead five people and injured one other at Allah Dina Street near Gawalmandi Chowk area of provincial capital on Monday morning.
According to police sources, the victims were on way to fruit market when armed assailants riding a motorbike opened indiscriminately fire at them and fled from the scene.
As a result, five people including three member of Hazara community died on the spot while another sustained wounds.
The bodies and the injured were shifted to provincial civil hospital Quetta where the four bodies were identified as Saleh Muhammad s/o Mullah Abdul Hassan Bareech, Muhammad Ali s/o Ghulam Sarwar Hazara, Khadim Hussain s/o Muhammad Ali Hazara, Syed Sarwar s/o Syed Hussain Hazara.
The identity of one body could not be ascertained so far.
Law enforcement agencies reached the site and cordoned off the entire area and started efforts to trace out attackers.
Further investigation was underway.
